chalet, nus and cip
Did a lot of stuff last week, here's an update..
Monday - Wednesday
Science focus at NUS. How do i find it? haha I guess I was more of freaked out by the things they teach in the University. The whole range of medicine names, all the intimidating topology sequences, combinatorial chem(hmmm what is that) But I did enjoy myself these 3 days especially the lab sessions. They were damn cool! First time seeing an electron microscope. Never thought that it was sooooo big!! Thought it was the size of normal light microscope. Noobist. Got to clear a lot of doubts regarding the microscope during the plant histology lab lessons. All the big big bombastic words in Nanyang microscopy lecture notes that I dint understand and dint bother to clarify, like chemical fixation, infiltrating and embedding… Clearer to be able to learn from seeing instead of reading. :D

i look funny in the disposable lab coat. jas look like a professional scientist.

Enjoyed the lunch sessions where jasmine and I would roam around NUS. Attracted some unwanted attention in our school uniforms. Jasmine brought me to the Raffles museum in NUS. Another very cool place where you get to see preserved dead bodies of wildlife species, like monkeys, tigers, reptiles, insects and even extinct birds. There was a display of a humongous African elephant bone which was around 50cm taller than me. I know I very short. So amazing! I was going woo and ah in the museum, but there is one particular exhibit which made me quite unpleasant. There is this exhibit of a leopard preserved in a jar. Fascinated by how they managed to force open the eyes of the preserve animals in the previous exhibits I tried to stare at this particular one looking for its eyes. Then I asked jasmine, “eh how come this one the face like distorted one huh?” innocently still thinking that they never preserve it properly. Then I saw it. It showed the description saying this leopard’s face had been smashed in a car accident and there was a picture showing the leopard lying motionless on the road. -_-
After that jasmine and I went to Kelantan to eat laksa. Consecutive for 2 days. So sinful. But nvrm la. Kelantan laksa always have the special power to make those that consume it to feel that they are the most fortunate people on earth. ^_^ Not forgetting the bottled China apple juice that jasmine treated me. it really has a nicer taste from the normal can ones. strongly recommend! i wonder if any one mistook us as drinking beer.

Thursday
Clogged 9 hours of CIP in one day. Thanks to Sarah for the wonderful recommendation of a CIP at her mum’s childcare centre. My greatest satisfaction is to be able to get a rather quiet and not really that spontaneous and active new girl(rachel) to get up and play. The next thing I knew was that she was clutching my hand wherever I go and she started sing. Also managed to stop another girl from crying. I not bad eh? Muahaha :D Sarah said I was biased. Haha I wont deny that.

Mummy had a hard time cooking. i never help out so much in the cooking and washing at home before. dead beat but i feel that it is worth it. And i think that our family bond have strengthen greatly. Fun to see how my cousins from the maternal and paternal side clique together. Kids are just so easy going. Suddenly got 20 kids charging around my house. But my house is big what. who cares? :X dunno why my sis leg suddenly got so many bruises after the chalet.

To dear dear sherf, thanks for the super duper belated present. You got motive one right? Want me wear your earrings then everytime when i look into the mirror i will think of you right? :P got la. cause i never wear ear studs for a long time due to inflammation and also because all my ears studs spoil or gone missing.
